Our vision, is to have a non-profit grocery market in every community so more food-insecure families can regain their dignity by having the choice and convenience of purchasing affordable healthy food.

We are respectful and patient with our customers so they can have a peaceful shopping experience.
When families can’t afford healthy food options, it leads to health, economic, and environmental concerns.
Did you know 18% or 6.9 million families in Canada experienced food insecurity in 2022? What's worse, that number continues to rise.
Our Mission is to help struggling families purchase affordable food until their financial situation improves and they no longer need help because, we believe, everyone should have the right to nutritious food, regardless of their situation.

We maximize our recovered food donations by creatively turning them into meal kits.

We are encouraging, supportive, and relational with our customers so they feel safe when it’s time to leave the Markit.
