to Abbotsford families encountering temporary food insecurity.
Local restaurants and food suppliers donate surplus food items to avoid waste.
The rescued food is turned into ready-to-make meal kits and sold at an affordable cost.
This offers members the choice and convenience to shop with dignity.
Hunger Lives Next Door
The sad truth about Food Insecurity is that it’s hard to recognize. Would you know if your neighbours or colleagues couldn’t put food on the table? Probably not. Because it’s hard to talk about and even harder to ask for help.
That’s where the Gathering Markit comes in. We offer families affordable, healthy food options and community connections when they need a hand-up to get back on their feet.

We invite registered social service agents and health care professionals who would like to refer an Abbotsford family or individual experiencing a short term financial challenge, to reach out to us via our Referral link for additional information.
